Both institutions have signed a collaboration agreement establishing joint action lines in training, research and the development of initiatives in the field of internationalisation
A delegation from the Universidad Católica de Murcia participated in the most important meeting on higher education in the world held in the United States, where training in Spanish, short courses and double degrees with other universities were discussed.
Its rector, José Fuentes, who was born in Blanca (Murcia), assures that “we want to partner with important universities to cooperate in the development of Bolivia”
The project focuses on university teachers and has been made possible thanks to an agreement with the University of the Philippines and the Department of Education of the Asian country.
A programme to train trainers was created and, initially, centres to promote employment in Africa and India will be opened. Furthermore, education in ethical values in science and technology will be promoted.
The agreement was signed by the presidents of the three entities: Josep María Bartomeu (FC Barcelona), Alejandro Blanco (Spanish Olympic Committee) and José Luis Mendoza (Catholic University of Murcia)
The Catholic University of Murcia and the “Asociación de Clubes de Baloncesto” (the national Basketball Clubs Association, top three European national league) will launch in February their educational agreement with an international Master in the field of law and management
