The Spanish Government once again recognises UCAM as the University of Sports

Its president, María Dolores García, received the Joaquín Blume Trophy from King Felipe VI, who, in 2012, as Prince of Asturias, presented it to the founder and then president of the institution, José Luis Mendoza. As on that occasion, the El Pardo Palace was the venue for the National Sports Awards ceremony, which also recognised world-famous Spanish athletes.

UCAM inaugurates its Madrid campus together with the COE

The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, presided over the event in Torrejón de Ardoz, which was attended by more than 400 people, including authorities, representatives of civil, military and Church institutions, as well as Olympic athletes. UCAM's investment in this campus amounts to 20 million euros, generating employment for more than 200 people in its first phase and constituting a pole of international attraction at the teaching and research level. Next September its educational offer will commence with 5 university degrees.

UCAM will complete the restoration of the Los Jerónimos Monastery with the restoration of two façades

The university institution will allocate one million euros to these works, which will begin at the same time as the restoration of the cloister, to which it has allocated a similar investment. The Directorate General for Cultural Heritage has authorised the work and granted contribution of seventy thousand euros.
