At the Spanish Olympic Committee Gala, attended by the presidents of the Spanish Olympic Committee, the Spanish Government and the UCAM, athletes who shone in Paris were recognised.
María Pérez (athletics), Bea Ortiz and Nona Pérez (water polo), Íñigo Llopis (swimming) and Sergio Garrote (cycling) are the UCAM athletes who have won gold medals at the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games
The race walker from Granada and student of the Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education had the honour of carrying the Spanish’s flag together with Jordan Díaz in the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games.
The boat of Saúl Craviotto, Marcus Cooper, Rodrigo Germade and Carlos Arévalo, UCAM canoeists, finished with a well-deserved third place. With this podium, Craviotto becomes the Spanish athlete with most Olympic medals (6).
