Introduction

The Master in Analytical Geoeconomics is an innovative postgraduate programme designed to train a new generation of specialists capable of understanding, modelling and forecasting global geopolitical and geoeconomic transformations through advanced quantitative methods.

The programme responds to the growing international demand for professionals able to analyse strategic competition between powers, assess geopolitical risk and interpret complex global dynamics using scientific and data-driven approaches. Students gain practical experience working with real international datasets, computational tools and advanced analytical models used in global institutions, strategic consulting firms, financial organizations and research centres.

Delivered in a blended learning format, the programme combines online learning, intensive international residencies and applied research projects, offering students a truly global and practice-oriented academic experience.

Student profile

The Master in Analytical Geoeconomics is designed for highly motivated graduates and professionals interested in the intersection of geopolitics, international economics, data science and strategic analysis.

The programme welcomes applicants from diverse academic backgrounds and particularly values interdisciplinary profiles and the combination of quantitative and qualitative perspectives within the classroom environment.

Although the programme includes advanced quantitative and computational components, students are not expected to have the same technical background upon admission. A mandatory preparatory module ensures that all participants acquire the necessary foundations in programming, statistics and applied quantitative methods before the official start of the programme.

Objectives

The programme’s main objectives are:

  •  To train high-level analysts capable of applying Power Transition Theory (PTT) and computational approaches to the analysis of international strategic competition.
  • To develop advanced competencies in econometrics, Bayesian statistics, machine learning and agent-based modelling applied to geopolitical and international economic data.
  • To prepare students to design, conduct and interpret original research projects in analytical geoeconomics following international scientific publication standards.
  • To provide quantitative tools for the assessment of geopolitical risk in governments, international organizations and the private sector, including finance, energy and global supply chains.
  • To integrate ethical and responsible perspectives regarding the use of artificial intelligence and big data in political and international systems analysis.

Throughout the programme, students learn to combine theoretical understanding with computational methodologies in order to analyse real-world geopolitical scenarios with scientific rigour and strategic insight.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the Master in Analytical Geoeconomics will be prepared for analytical, strategic and research-oriented roles in international organizations, public institutions, global corporations and specialized consulting firms.

The programme equips students with highly quantitative and geopolitical analysis skills applicable across multiple sectors. Potential career paths include:

  • International Organizations
  • Strategic & Geopolitical Consulting
  • Finance & Corporate Strategy
