Janet Novas (May 6 and 7 at Centro Párraga)

Native of Galicia. He was educated in Madrid, Brussels and Berlin. He has received several awards throughout his career, among which we can highlight the 2nd prize in the XXI Choreography Competition in Madrid, the B-Motion award, a scholarship for the danceWEBeurope 2008 (Vienna) and the InJuve Award with his latest creation "Cara pintada". She has also been selected for the ChoreoRoam 2011 program. Her creations have been presented in France, Holland, Brazil, Cuba, Venezuela and in several national festivals such as Mes de danza (Sevilla), MOV_S , TNT Dansa and the XXV Festival de Madrid en Danza among others.
She has taught in different Spanish dance centres and in companies such as Daniel Abreu , Pisando Ovos , Provisional Danza and Retazos (Havana). As a performer she has worked for companies such as Provisional Danza, Cía Daniel Abreu, Lisi Estarás (Les ballets c de la b), Pisando Ovos, Arrieritos, Megaló Teatro, Ertza, José Reches and Pedro Berdayes. At present he collaborates with Pablo Esbert in his latest creation "Eject", as well as continuing to develop his creations and giving classes and workshops in different centres in Spain.

Roser López Espinosa (From 1 to 5 June 2015)

Graduated in Contemporary Dance from MTD - Theaterschool / Amsterdam School of the Arts (Netherlands). In 2005 she received the danceWEB scholarship from Vienna and continues training with the former Olympic gymnastics coach Jaume Miró. She dances in Holland with the Magpie Music Dance Company of Katie Duck, Marta Reig Torres and Pere Faura. In Barcelona he maintains a close collaboration with Àngels Margarit / Cia Mudances (Corol-la, Kolbebasar, Flexelf, Capricis) and also collaborates with Cesc Gelabert and the filmmaker Isaki Lacuesta, Iago Pericot, Bebeto Cidra and Las Malqueridas, among others. He has been developing his own creative work in parallel since 2006, with pieces such as The lizard's skin, Còncau, Miniatura, etc, which have received international recognition with awards at the Masdanza Festival, the Burgos-NY Competition and the Madrid Competition and have formed part of the European tour Aerowaves. In 2013, Lowland will premiere, in co-production with the Mercat de les Flors, a show that is currently on an international tour. In 2014 she creates the piece Hand to hand for the Dutch company Conny Janssen Danst, which selects her to go on tour in the Netherlands in 2015. She is an artist associated with La Caldera - Centre for the creation of contemporary dance and performing arts in Barcelona since 2012. She teaches at the Conservatori Superior de Dansa del Institut del Teatre de Barcelona and gives courses nationally and internationally. Her creative work and courses have been part of international programs of reference in Europe as well as in Egypt, Canada, Argentina, Chile, Panama and Japan.

Carmen Werner (From 8th to 15th May)

Born in Madrid. Degree in Physical Education from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Studies Classical and Contemporary Dance in Madrid, Barcelona and London.

Since she created her own company, Provisional Danza, in 1987, she has staged more than 60 choreographies: room works (small and large format, including an opera-dance), street works, video-dances, a short film, collaborations for other companies, special commissions for different festivals and theatres, as well as giving classes and choreographic workshops.

Her artistic career has been recognized with different awards, among which the National Dance Award 2007, the International Dance Award Onassis in 2001 and the Culture Award in the Dance section of the Community of Madrid 2000 stand out

Jacqueline M García. (November 11, 13, 18, 20, 25 and 27 at UCAM SPORT CENTER)

Director of the Dance Company of the University of New Mexico (USA) will give a course on contemporary dance technique focused on choreography and artistic creation. Jacqueline M. García is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico (USA). She is a Master of Dance and Choreography in the College of Fine Arts in 2013 with the highest academic distinction. She graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2001 with summa cum laude honors. Jacqueline has been a Director of a Dance-Theater Company in New Mexico since 2015.

 Workshop with Miguel Angel Punzano (www.tejidoconectivo.com), 2 weeks of work on Contemporary Technique and Creation, the workshop was held on February 11, 2016 at Centro Párraga.

Juanjo Arquées, Dancer and choreographer

Juanjo Arques received his dance training in his hometown of Murcia, Spain. Before moving to the Netherlands in 2004, he spent five years as a soloist with the Victor Ullate Ballet in Madrid, and four years as a soloist with the English National Ballet. In 2004, Mr. Arques joined the National Ballet of the Netherlands as a Grand Subject, and three years later he was promoted to Soloist. Dancing with this three companies allowed him to perform the variety of works of notable choreographers ranging from classical to neoclassical, such as William Forsythe, Christopher Wheeldon, Alexei Ratmansky, David Dawson, Hans van Manen. After choreographing several pieces for choreographic workshops, he made Minos, his first ballet for Ballet Het Nacional, in 2010. After the success of Minos, Mr. Arques was asked to choreograph the consequences for the 50th anniversary of the company in 2012.


In recent years he has received international commissions as miniatures for Ballet Nacional de Slovenia, unreasonable for the National Dance Company, Madrid,Encrucijada for WimWhim, Seattle. His latest worksRuleta (2014), Rewind (2014), Carolingian (2014) Blink (2015),Bites (2015), the departure have premiered in Holland, Belgium and Switzerland by the National Ballet of Holland, April (2015) for the New York Choreographic Institute and #Boogie (2015) for the New York contemporary ballet Continuum.  


In 2014, Mr. Arques was nominated for the Dutch Dans Award in Maastricht. He also collaborated as a circulation consultant for the play 'Vaslav' based on Arthur Japin's novel and Gender Realization, a European dance project on the themes of identity research and sexual orientation in Bologna. He is currently awaiting the new premiere of Strawberries, a new ballet of the Dutch National Youth Ballet Company for the 500th anniversary of the death of Hieronymus Bosch in 2016. Arques is one of the nominees for the Russian National Golden Theatre Mask Award - 2016 with the Russian Ballet Company Moskva.
