Once you have obtained the student visa to come to study at our university, in your passport, the page where you have the visa will indicate the number of your NIE (foreigner identification number). This number is essential to be able to apply for the TIE (foreigner's identity card).

Your stay as an international student is determined for a period not exceeding one year. Therefore, it is necessary to know that once your academic year is over, you must apply for the renewal of your stay for studies, which is an authorization that allows you to stay legally in the country while you are studying.
Therefore, if your studies last longer than 12 months, you will have to extend the initial authorization, and this is known as a renewal of the stay for studies.
