The Universidad Católica Boliviana boosts its internationalisation alongside UCAM
Its rector, José Fuentes, who was born in Blanca (Murcia), assures that “we want to partner with important universities to cooperate in the development of Bolivia”
UCAM and the Universidad Católica Boliviana San Pablo have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of developing joint research, facilitating the exchange of students and professors from both universities and creating double degrees. The document was signed by José Fuentes, National Rector of the Bolivian institution and José Luis Mendoza García, Director of Institutional Relations of the Universidad Católica de Murcia.
José Fuentes, originally from Blanca and a priest of the Diocese of Cartagena, stated that "this agreement with the Universidad Católica de Murcia is very important to me. One of the lines I want my Rectorate to follow is precisely that of internationalisation. Our objective is to partner with important universities, to learn from them, and to cooperate in the development of Bolivia".
On behalf of UCAM, Pablo Blesa, Vice-Rector of International Relations and Communication, also attended the signing. He expressed his satisfaction regarding this collaboration "with a leading institution in Bolivia and Latin America, which has a 60-year history", stressing that "internationalisation is a great source of enrichment and development for our students and teachers, as well as being a means of expanding for the university".
