Researchers from the Universidad Católica are taking part in one of the leading trauma conferences in the world to present two new biomaterials for bone regeneration.
The UCAM professor of Developmental Biology has had an intense day of work at the Universidad Católica de Murcia including a meeting with the president, María Dolores García, the first since the death of the founder of the University. They have expressed their complete willingness to continue making progress with current research and new projects to address some of the major health problems that plague humanity.
Javier García Martínez, scientist and founder of the Academia Joven de España, is the first person to receive this recognition, at a conference that will be held annually.
Together with Orbyn and NG Capital, the Universidad Católica de Murcia will replicate the models of Stanford, Oxford and Cambridge to accelerate the transformation of university initiatives across Europe into scientific and technological startups in health, sport and nutrition.
This ranking by Times Higher Education, which analyses universities of up to 50 years old, places UCAM as the first private university in Spain and the second in the total, as well as 117th among the nearly 1000 selected worldwide in this category
Around 40 entities, organisations and professional associations took part in the event, which proved to be a resounding success in terms of participation.

The UCAM scientist has been awarded this recognition which is granted every year by the prestigious international journal Chemosensors.
This technological forum held at UCAM HiTech –organised by INFO in collaboration with the Universidad Católica de Murcia finalised today. 60 startups and more than a hundred investors and corporates from all over Spain have participated. More than 300 people linked to the innovation ecosystem attended this two-day event.
