The UCAM scientist has been awarded this recognition which is granted every year by the prestigious international journal Chemosensors.
This technological forum held at UCAM HiTech –organised by INFO in collaboration with the Universidad Católica de Murcia finalised today. 60 startups and more than a hundred investors and corporates from all over Spain have participated. More than 300 people linked to the innovation ecosystem attended this two-day event.
The event will continue on Thursday with the LifeTech Summit, organised by the INFO (the Regional Development Agency of the Region of Murcia) in cooperation with UCAM University. More than two hundred people, all of whom are linked to the innovative ecosystems of food, health and sports, will participate in the event held at UCAM’s high-technology incubator.
ACS Sensors, one of the best journals in the world specialised in analytical chemistry and sensors, features the research of María Cuartero and Gastón Crespo on its cover. They are shown together with their talented team at UCAM HiTech, where they have created a wireless patch that transmits permanent information on the levels of pH, sodium, potassium, calcium, lithium and chloride in the interstitial fluid.
As a result of the collaboration between UCAM and the INCYDE Foundation and financing from the European Regional Development Fund, it will provide services to companies in the sector
The UCAM researcher has also been appointed editor of the prestigious scientific journal Analytical Chemistry, of the American Chemical Society. Furthermore, the Analyst journal awarded her with the Analyst Emerging Investigator Lectureship Award.
This will be done together with the Incyde Foundation and the training will focus on health, nutrition and sports.
