On the opening day of the event, held at IFEMA, hundreds of young people visited the stand of the Universidad Católica de Murcia to find out more about its comprehensive academic model and to participate in workshops and interactive activities
CAM has presented at the Feria Aula, the educational fair, the new campus. Located in Torrejón de Ardoz, in the Community of Madrid, and supported by the Spanish Olympic Committee, the campus will begin its academic activity in the 2025/26 academic year. In its first year, there are plans to offer Bachelor's Degrees in Food Science and Technology, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Nursing, Psychology and Physiotherapy.
The UCAM stand, located in Hall 3 (3B21) at IFEMA Madrid, has become a point of reference for many young people who have come to learn first-hand about the university model of this institution, characterised by its quality teaching, personalised student care, facilities equipped with the latest technology, strong international projection, humanist values and vocation for service. In addition, UCAM has also emphasised its leadership in the field of university sports, being the University of Sport in Europe.
Some of the most outstanding activities that UCAM is offering at the Aula Fair (from 26 to 30 March) are:
- Discover your career path: an interactive test that lets attendees find out which degree is most in line with their interests and personality.
- VR glasses workshop: an innovative virtual reality experience applied to learning healthcare techniques such as CPR.
- Practical workshops: including ‘Deciphering ultra-processed foods: What's hidden in your food’, focused on nutritional awareness.
During the opening day, visitors were able to attend clinical simulations of the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with advanced technology, such as the NursingAnne Simulator, the ActFast vest for airway clearance and vital signs monitoring devices. Meanwhile, the Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy gave demonstrations of electrostimulation, respiratory physiotherapy and functional and neuromuscular bandaging.
Until Sunday, there will be other activities such as the application of the APM test in the Degree in Psychology, new nutritional workshops and visits from prominent athletes such as Lydia Valentín and Lucía Carrillo. There will also be a live podcast recording from the stand.
