UCAM HiTech keeps on attracting investors

This week, around twenty of them have learned about its state-of-the-art equipment, research lines, and training and entrepreneurship programmes

Promoting innovation and knowledge transfer is one of the foundations of

the incubator in high technology in health, sport and nutrition, UCAM

HiTech
, a technological space that brings together entrepreneurship and

research at the service of society. This week, more than twenty Spanish

investors (representatives of investment funds, business angels, venture

capital investments, innovation hubs and private investors) visited it. All of

them attended the forum 'Waykup Murcia Startup Region', organised by

the Instituto de Fomento, a meeting place for investors, start-ups and

corporations driven by the latest trends in innovation and technology, and in

which the high-tech incubator of the Universidad Católica de Murcia also

participated. During their visit to UCAM HiTech, the investors learned about

the incubation and acceleration programmes for projects GO, GROWTH and

FLOW
, as well as the different services, laboratories and research carried out

at its facilities. They also established contacts for future collaborations. More

than 70 projects from all over the country participated in UCAM HiTech

initiatives throughout 2022.

‘Attracting investors who can accelerate the projects incubated at UCAM

HiTech is a priority for our start-ups. With this visit, we have taken a big step

forward, expanding the range of this type of collaborators,’ says César

Nicolás
, Executive Director of the Technological Institute of Murcia ,

located at HiTech.
