UCAM expands the practical training of its medical students with new agreements in Spain and Chile
Agreements with Vithas Hospital in Granada and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile strengthen access to internships and international research programmes
Universidad Católica de Murcia continues to strengthen its commitment to quality training and the internationalisation of its students through agreements such as the ones signed this week with the Vithas Hospital in Granada and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. These agreements were signed by María Dolores García, UCAM President, and José Luis Salcedo, CEO of Vithas Hospital, and Pablo Aguilera, Director of International Relations at the School of Medicine of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
The agreement with the Vithas Hospital in Granada will allow students of the UCAM Bachelor's Degree in Medicine to do clinical internships in this centre, where they will be able to gain experience in different specialties, thus reinforcing their practical skills and theoretical knowledge.

Furthermore, the alliance with the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile will strengthen academic collaboration and the development of joint research projects in the area of health, providing UCAM students with a global vision and training enriched with perspectives and medical practices in other cultural contexts.
In this regard, Jerónimo Lajara, Dean of the UCAM Faculty of Medicine, stressed that ‘Medicine is a career with an international vocation, which is why we seek to develop agreements with hospitals throughout Europe and also in South America, expanding lines of research’.
