Hope is the driving force that motivates people
The 24th UCAM International Charity and Volunteering Conference, Pilgrims of Hope, resumes today with a programme of talks and round-table discussions. The sessions began with a talk by Moshé Bendaham, Chief Rabbi of the Jewish Community of Madrid, for whom ‘hope is a tool for spiritual growth and the driving force that gives people hope and motivation’.
Moshé Bendaham, a regular participant at the conference and a close friend of the founder of UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, urged us to have a positive vision of the future: ‘we are not heading for self-destruction, but rather towards repairing the world’.
Similarly, Pablo Moreno, international PhD in Marketing and Innovation, presented the conference ‘Deceived by technology’; and Alejandro Villena, psychologist and clinical sexologist, reflected on the emotional problems caused in young people by addictions such as pornography.
