Bronze for Spain's 4x100 medley relay team
The Spanish swimming 4x100 medley relay team, of which three members are UCAM athletes, has won the bronze medal in the final of the Paralympic Games in Paris.
Sarai Gascón, José Antonio Marí and Íñigo Llopis, the university athletes, and the young Anastasiya Dmytriv qualified for the final, which took place on Monday afternoon, after having finished second in their heat and having achieved the third fastest time in the morning.
Thus, the national team went into the event as one of the favourites, something that was apparent in the course of the race, in which the Spaniards remained in the top positions.
In this way, UCAM athletes continue to achieve medals, adding this one to the one already achieved by Íñigo Llopis, who won the gold medal in the 100m backstroke S8.
