This information was shared this morning at the Third Conference on Logistics and Business in the Region of Murcia organised by UCAM, a university that is planning to offer a degree in logistics, given that it is a strategic industry for the region.
The modelling project developed by the UCAM Mobility Chair has received the Mobility Management Award of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.
This morning, UCAM held the VIII Mobility and Road Safety Conference where it was highlighted that, in the Region of Murcia, an individual uses public transport 36 times per year, while this number is 240 in Madrid, 190 in Barcelona, 102 in Valencia or 70 in Alicante.
Tomorrow, Thursday, the field work of the Chair of Sustainable Mobility and Transport of the Metropolitan Area of Murcia launches
the most ambitious survey ever done in the Region.
The Chair of Mobility and Sustainable Transport of Murcia studies regular commutes before confinement, how the COVID-19 emergency interfered with them and what are the security perceptions of the citizens with regard to transportation modalities.
UCAM will keep open until 11 December the registration period to apply for a mobility programme: Erasmus, Erasmus Traineeship, Iberoamérica, USA/Canada/Asia.<br />
