Bonus and deductions applicable in tuition

From the 2019/2020 Academic Year onwards, all students who have some kind of discount/rebate, or by agreement; this discount/rebate will only be applicable in the settlement of registration of the subjects to be taken, leaving this rebate exempt in the part of registration corresponding to the settlement of Credit Recognition and Transfer as they enjoy a 75% rebate, since these students only pay 25% of the credits.

Important remarks: these rebates (rebate for siblings studying at UCAM, deduction for disability or deduction for victims of terrorism) cannot be accumulated with any other type of discount to which the student is entitled. If the student is entitled to two or more rebates, he/she must choose only one, which would be the most advantageous for him/her.

Students registered in official degrees during the 2019-2020 academic year who have another member of the same family unit studying at UCAM will receive a 5% rebate on the amount of credits of their registration and it will correspond to the last student who started studying at UCAM (generally the new student).

If three members of the same family unit are studying, this rebate will be 10% for the last member and 5% for the penultimate one and so on. As the number of family members increases, the rebate will increase arithmetically by 5%.

A new UCAM student is a student who registers for the first time in an official degree offered by the University. If the student was previously registered in another degree different from the new one, the seniority of his/her admission to UCAM will not be respected, since these are different records and degrees.

In the event that students (members of the same family unit) enter in the same academic year, the discount will be applied to the higher registration fee, except for administrative fees, in order to benefit the student as much as possible.

The deadline for applying for the above-mentioned rebate will be from 1 February to 29 April, once all the registration periods for subjects have been closed for the students. If a student has applied for the rebate and has subsequently registered for more subjects, for example, during the extended registration period, he or she will not be able to apply for another rebate at a later date.

The application will be made at the Central Secretariat by filling in the official form and providing the following documents: photocopy of the family book, photocopy of the registration forms (of the applicant and the sibling/s) and Bank Account Certificate of Ownership or photocopy of the current account book of the IBAN account number (if you have an online bank you can also send us a screenshot of the IBAN account number) where the corresponding rebate will be paid. The holder of this account must be the applicant for the rebate.

Those UCAM students who are associated with the SPANISH FEDERATION OF LARGE FAMILIES (FEFN) on 31 October 2019 may apply for this discount.

Students registered in the face-to-face modality.
The new student will have a 10% rebate on the registration fee, as long as there is another member of the family unit who is simultaneously studying a degree in face-to-face modality.

The maximum limit of applicants with a rebate is 50.

If the number of applicants exceeds 50, the beneficiaries will be selected by taking into account the per capita income accredited by the family unit.

Students registered in blended, online or distance learning
Any member of the family unit who studies a degree in blended, online or distance learning will get a 15% rebate on the new registration fee.

The maximum limit of applicants with a rebate is 100.

If the number of applicants exceeds 100, the beneficiaries will be selected by taking into account the per capita income accredited by the family unit.

Important remarks:
The deadline for applying for the above-mentioned rebate will be from 1 March to 15 April, once all the registration periods for subjects have been closed for the students. If a student has applied for the rebate and has subsequently registered for more subjects, for example, during the extended registration period, he or she will not be able to apply for another rebate at a later date.

This rebate cannot be accumulated with any other type of discount to which the student is entitled. If the student is entitled to two or more rebates, he/she must choose only one, which would be the most advantageous for him/her.

The application is compatible with the registration grant provided for in the Ministry of Education's public call for grants.

The rebate is only valid for one academic year. The student cannot apply for the rebate the following academic year.

The application must be made at the Central Secretariat by filling in the official form, or via the web page of the Secretariat. Once the application form has been completed, the following documents must be attached to the application:

  • Certificate accrediting membership of the SPANISH FEDERATION OF LARGE FAMILIES before 1 November 2019, photocopy of the students' registration forms.
  • Bank Account Certificate of Ownership or photocopy of the current account book of the IBAN account number (if you have an online bank you can also send us a screenshot of the IBAN account number) where the corresponding rebate will be paid. The applicant must be the owner, co-owner or authorized signatory of the account. In the event that the maximum limit of beneficiaries is exceeded, the per capita income of the family unit will be requested.

This deduction may be requested by students who can prove a minimum disability of 33%, who may obtain a 20% rebate on their tuition fees.

Applications must be submitted to the Central Secretariat, after verification of the data provided by the student at the Disability Assistance Unit.

This rebate is for all official qualifications during all academic years.

Students who can apply for this rebate are those who are Victims of Terrorism or members of the same family unit who have been Victims of Terrorism, who can obtain a 30% rebate.

They must provide a certificate issued by the Ministry of the Interior or a copy of the Card of Persons Affected by Terrorist Acts. A photocopy of the family book must be added to this documentation if the student is a descendant or spouse of the victim.

The deadlines for submission of applications will include the current academic year for which the application is submitted, after payment of the registration fee.

In both types of deductions, it must be taken into account that the rebates or deductions will be applied to the total number of credits (basic training, compulsory and optional) regardless of the registration modality. In other words, they also count if the latter are registered as freely-definable (optional) during the academic year in force, both in registration and in extension of registration. Therefore, credits registered in seminars, freely-definable recognitions or other types of credit recognition will not be included in the above rebates or deductions. Neither will the concepts of opening a file nor school insurance (public or private) be understood to be included. Nor may these deductions be requested for registrations of previous academic years in the event that the student did not do so within the time limits established for this purpose.
