UCAM is an authorized preparation and examination center for official courses and exams in Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE). The university boasts a faculty of expert teachers specializing in official examinations.

External Candidates at UCAM
This placement test corresponds to levels B1 or B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The exam consists of four parts (DELE format), designed to assess the candidates' competence in the four core language skills:
- Reading comprehension
- Listening comprehension
- Written expression
- Oral expression and interaction
Upon passing this exam, students will receive an official internal UCAM B1 or B2 certificate.
IMPORTANT: All exam sessions are generally conducted in an on-site modality (in person). The online option will only be available to students who reside outside the province and provide valid justification or supporting evidence.
A1 Level
- Grammar: 20 questions
- Reading Comprehension: 2 texts, 20 questions
- Listening Comprehension: 2 audio tracks, 20 questions
- Written Expression and Interaction: 2 compulsory tasks
- Oral Expression and Interaction: personal presentation (1–2 minutes), monologue/topic presentation (2–3 minutes), and conversation with the interviewer (3–4 minutes).
A2 Level
- Grammar: 25 questions
- Reading Comprehension: 2 texts, 20 questions
- Listening Comprehension: 3 tasks, 25 questions
- Written Expression and Interaction: 2 tasks (one compulsory task and one elective task with two options to choose from).
- Oral Expression and Interaction: topic presentation, picture description, and role-play dialogue in a simulated scenario.
B1 Level
- Reading Comprehension: 3 texts, 30 questions
- Listening Comprehension: 4 tasks, 40 questions
- Written Expression and Interaction: 2 tasks (one compulsory task and one elective task with two options to choose from).
- Oral Expression and Interaction: deliver a brief presentation, participate in a conversation, describe a photograph, and engage in a role-play dialogue in a simulated scenario.
- B2 Level
Reading Comprehension: 4 texts, 40 questions - Listening Comprehension: 4 tasks, 50 questions
- Written Expression and Interaction: 2 tasks (one compulsory task and one elective task with two options to choose from).
- Oral Expression and Interaction: evaluate and discuss proposals, describe a hypothetical situation based on a photograph and discuss it, and express an opinion on survey data.
C1 Level
- Reading Comprehension: 5 texts, 50 questions
- Listening Comprehension: 5 tasks, 50 questions
- Written Expression and Interaction: 2 tasks (one compulsory task and one elective task with two options to choose from).
- Oral Expression and Interaction: oral presentation on a specific topic, interview regarding a topic, and informal conversation (negotiation).
Official DELE Exams
Overview: Official examination to obtain the DELE certification.

Official CCSE Exams
Overview: Official examination to obtain the CCSE certification (Constitutional and Socio-Cultural Knowledge of Spain).
