Since its beginnings, the Universidad Católica de Murcia has maintained close collaboration with the business world, both in Spain and internationally, in the fields of teaching and research – whether to develop curricular and extracurricular internships for the students, to enhance their employability, or through the transfer of knowledge between university and business, an area in which it has once again been recognised worldwide.

Times Higher Education, in its Young University Ranking 2023 presented this week, which analyses all universities in the world that are less than 50 years old, places UCAM as the first private university in Spain and the second in the total in our country in the category of Industry Income. Likewise, at world level, nearly 1,000 universities are ranked in this category, and UCAM comes 117th out of all of them.

A key factor in achieving this excellent positioning is the development by the Universidad Católica de Murcia of applied research, which seeks to provide real solutions to the needs society demands. UCAM HiTech, the high-tech incubator for health, sport and nutrition, has played an important role in this respect since its opening in 2021.

According to the ranking, this Murcian institution also continues to grow in its ‘General’ classification in ‘Citations’ and in ‘International Outlook’, while it has doubled its value in the ‘Research’ category since entering this prestigious ranking.
