UCAM trains its researchers in the practical application of their research results
American consultant Lynn W. Phillips trains researchers in the fields of health, sports, agrifood, and technologies to orient their research toward practical application and market transfer
UCAM has hosted the 1st UCAM Research Impact Forum, an initiative promoted by the Vice-Rectorate for Research to strengthen knowledge transfer and improve the strategic alignment of scientific projects with their practical application.
The sessions were led by international consultant Lynn W. Phillips, PhD, who worked alongside UCAM researchers from the fields of health, sports, agrifood, and immersive technologies. During these workshops, participants delved into defining the potential impact of their projects, identifying real-world application opportunities, and generating value propositions for the market.
The program combined in-person sessions with subsequent online mentoring, providing participants with tools to:
- Identify potential stakeholders for their technology.
- Explore practical applications.
- Better communicate the value of their research.
- Analyze potential funding avenues to advance toward implementation.
During his visit to the university, Dr. Phillips also held working meetings with leadership teams to analyze UCAM’s upcoming challenges in research, knowledge transfer, and researcher training.
