Faculty of Sports
Among the news it stands out that the Faculty of Sports, which offers the degrees in
Physical Activity and Sport Sciences and
Dance, has moved all of its facilities, together with the
UCAM Sports Center, the
Research Centre on High Performance Sport and the
Sport Service of the University, to the La Noria shopping centre. For this purpose, it has prepared two buildings with 15 classrooms that are totally equipped for face-to-face and online teaching, computer rooms and a co-working area for the teachers and the administration staff. Antonio Sánchez Pato, dean of the Faculty, states that “with that, we consolidated a sports campus that is going to be a reference point in the city of Murcia” and he clarifies that “we are going to have a teaching laboratory that will allow us to give theoretical-practical lessons in subjects such as Biomechanics and Anatomy”.
For this academic year, UCAM has programmed a bimodal teaching model that includes online, face-to-face and blended learning, for which it has adapted the most advanced physical and virtual resources, as well as adapted attendance with group rotation in the classroom. All of this will happen under a security protocol that includes all the health measures to avoid COVID contagions.
Nursing and Medicine students start again their internships in healthcare centres
On the other hand, today, Monday, the last-year students of the degrees in Nursing and Medicine of UCAM begun their clinical internships in hospitals and health centres. In this way, the fourth-year students of Nursing of the campuses of Murcia and Cartagena and the sixth-year students of Medicine of Murcia can complete their practical training, which is necessary to acquire competences with the highest guarantees of quality.
