A representative from each faculty, one from the international students and one from the online students make up the UCAM Student Council. Toay they have celebrated their first community-building event in the Chapter House of the Los Jerónimos Monastery. This working session was attended by María Dolores García, UCAM President; Josefina García, Rector; and Manuel Ruiz, Vice-Rector of Quality and Academic Planning.

Adrián Massotti, president of the Council, has made a ‘very positive’ assessment of the academic year that is about to end and has remarked that ‘the management has made our work extremely easy. When we have a suggestion, they always listen to us. For this reason, UCAM students appreciate the institution for its personalised attention and because they feel listened to’.

The UCAM president recalled that José Luis Mendoza, founder of the educational institution, was convinced of the importance of this student representation body and, for this reason, he encouraged and promoted it. In her speech she thanked the Council for the work carried out throughout the year ‘for the great work you do for your fellow students and for UCAM. I know it is not easy because you have to give up many things to carry out this responsibility, but it is compensated because thanks to you we know the concerns of the students and we can work to continue improving’.
