UCAM Strengthens Its International Profile in Hong Kong
Its participation in the APAIE Conference and Exhibition included an extensive programme of meetings with institutions from Asia, Oceania and Europe to foster new academic partnerships
The Catholic University of Murcia took an active role in the annual conference of the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE), held in Hong Kong from 23 to 27 February. APAIE is the leading international higher education gathering in the Asia-Pacific region. UCAM’s delegation was led by Enrique López, Head of the Strategic Alliances Unit, who highlighted APAIE’s strategic value for building institutional links and enhancing the University’s visibility across the region.
During the conference, UCAM focused on strengthening its existing relationships in Asia and exploring new avenues for collaboration aimed at further advancing its internationalisation efforts.
“The main objective was to identify new strategic partnerships with like-minded institutions, in order to develop synergies in areas such as international mobility, double degrees, academic accreditations and research,” said López. After the event, he added that “the objectives set out have been successfully met” and that “the contacts established are of great interest and will contribute significantly to strengthening our internationalisation strategy.”
Through this participation, UCAM continues to advance its global outreach strategy and to reinforce its network of partnerships, promoting its academic model and its international educational offering at key forums within the university sector. The University also maintains an established presence across Asia, particularly in China, where it has had an information office since 2012 and ongoing collaborations with several institutions.
