UCAM promotes the science-industry link at Science for Industry 2025
Through UCAM HiTech, the university strengthens its technological entrepreneurship ecosystem
UCAM, through its Innovation and Business Acceleration Hub, which is part of the INCYDE Foundation's Network of High Technology Incubators, has attended the Science for Industry 2025 (S4i), the international benchmark event in Deep Science that connects universities, research centres, companies and scientific capital funds. During two days in La Nave (Madrid) UCAM HiTech has worked to consolidate its scientific-technological entrepreneurship ecosystem, generate new alliances and publicise its projects, including Coral, the scientific entrepreneurship community, an initiative of UCAM HiTech and Celera.
A key meet up to boost scientific entrepreneurship
Science for Industry is the meeting point where the scientific field converges with the industrial sector, with the aim of speeding up the transfer of knowledge and promoting innovation. This event has established itself as an essential reference for all agents committed to open collaboration and technological evolution.
In this context, UCAM HiTech has connected with startups, researchers and universities to identify high-impact projects and publicise the different initiatives it promotes, facilitating opportunities for collaboration. The UCAM Hub has fostered alliances with research centres and investment funds to promote technology transfer and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Introducing Coral: an ecosystem for collaborative innovation
During its participation in S4i, UCAM HiTech presented Coral, an initiative that seeks to improve the interconnection between researchers and entrepreneurs, facilitating their access to resources, training and key connections for their development. It is also a meeting point where a collaborative network is created in order to generate a real impact on the scientific and technological innovation ecosystem.
‘From the very first second, we have believed in the need to commit ourselves to a national model with international projection. With initiatives like Coral, we seek to provide researchers and entrepreneurs with a space where they can train, share knowledge and find support to bring their projects to market,’ Carlos Caballero, UCAM HiTech director, said during the event.
