A group of undergraduate students from UCAM is currently in the world's financial capital to transform their business proposals into high-impact projects. Under the academic direction of Dr. Maria Mendez Rocasolano, Research Coordinator at the Faculty of Law, and organized alongside Eduprojects, the University has designed a cutting-edge methodology where the metropolis's decision-making hubs serve as living classrooms for strategy and corporate disruption.

From Urban Analysis to Global Governance

The program bridges theory and practice within the real-world environment of the Big Apple. During the opening days, students analyzed brand positioning and commercial trends across iconic locations such as Times Square and the Empire State Building.

The technical agenda linked innovation management with high-level organizational decision-making through two key sessions:

  • New York Public Library: Utilized as a coworking space for business project conceptualization.
  • United Nations (UN) Headquarters: A guided tour allowed students to analyze international cooperation models, institutional leadership processes, and decision-making during global crisis scenarios firsthand.

Corporate Simulation and Skill Development

The program prepares students for the demands of today’s job market through practical workshops and specialized consulting focused on two main areas:

  • Hard Skills: Technical abilities and practical knowledge required to build and manage a viable business project.
  • Soft Skills: Interpersonal abilities, including leadership, teamwork, effective communication, and problem-solving.

Each day concludes with an individual debrief session designed to translate acquired insights into actionable steps for the students' business proposals. This pilot initiative will continue over the coming days through innovation challenges and personalized mentoring sessions.
