UCAM congratulates its academic community for its commitment to blood and bone marrow donation
On last Tuesday and Wednesday, the UCAM campuses in Murcia and Cartagena joined in the celebration of Regional Organ and Bone Marrow Donor Day, participating in the national campaign ‘Un match por una vida’ (a match for a life), promoted by the National Transplant Organisation and the Josep Carreras Foundation, with the aim of increasing the number of bone marrow donors.
A total of 252 people, including students and employees of the university, took the important decision to join the Bone Marrow Donor Network.
In addition, 237 people turned up to donate blood, taking advantage of the donation campaign organised by the Regional Blood Donation Centre.
UCAM would like to thank its entire academic community for responding to this call for solidarity, which has demonstrated, as on other occasions, that volunteering is an essential part of the institution, to which all its members are fully committed.
