The coastal province of Shandong, the second most populous in China, is home to over 100 million people, with Jinan serving as its capital and economic, political, and cultural hub. This week, a high-level institutional delegation from Jinan—led by Ma Baoling, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Municipal Committee and Head of its Publicity Department—met at UCAM with the university's president, María Dolores García, alongside other top executives.

The purpose of the meeting was to establish various lines of cooperation to foster mutual understanding between both regions and countries through upcoming joint initiatives. To this end, the meeting also brought together representatives from the Publicity Department of the Jinan Municipal Committee of the CPC, the Jinan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the Jinan Daily Newspaper Group, and the Jinan Radio and Television Station. UCAM was represented by José Luis Mendoza, Director of Institutional Relations, and Pablo Blesa, Vice-Rector for International Relations, among other officials.

Following the meeting, Pablo Blesa highlighted the warm and cordial atmosphere of the visit and the shared goals discussed. He noted that it is crucial for UCAM to strengthen the relationship between Spain and China, especially considering the investments the Asian giant makes in our country, while also specifying that one of the first collaborative projects will focus on water culture.
