José Luis Mendoza, president of UCAM, and Javier Collado, general director of the Incyde Foundation, have signed a collaboration agreement with which they will hold eight training programmes. Through a total investment of 400,000 euros, the aim is that of creating and consolidating SMEs and improving the entrepreneurial skills of young people in the Region of Murcia. Both institutions have been collaborating in the training of entrepreneurs in the Region of Murcia for the last eight years.

During the signing of the agreement, the representatives of both institutions highlighted the success of the internationally renowned high-tech incubator UCAM HiTech, co-financed with FEDER funds, which is already working on its future expansion under the new European co-financing programmes.

Javier Collado stressed that “this is an important day, both for the University and for the Incyde Foundation, because we are signing a new agreement aimed at creating and consolidating small and medium-sized enterprises. The excellent results of the previous agreements, having created companies and trained entrepreneurs, have been a key factor”.

César Nicolás, executive director of the UCAM Murcia Institute of Technology, assured that “the signing of this agreement will allow us to provide more activities and tools to our project, to achieve the objective of providing personalised mentoring and training to a total of 70 companies over the course of 2022”.

“The 48 startups currently participating in the HiTech incubation programme are proof of its success in the entrepreneurial ecosystem on a national level”, added César Nicolás.
