In recognition of their commitment to rigorous and responsible health communication, Forbes magazine has included three alumni from the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) in its "Top 50" list of health communicators.

The honorees include:

  • Dr. José Abellán: A physician and PhD in Health Sciences.
  • Dr. Sara Marín: A graduate of the university’s 5th medical school cohort.
  • Marina Montiel: A journalist and alumna of the Faculty of Communication.

The inclusion of these three professionals in the ranking serves as a testament to the high academic standards at UCAM and its success in translating specialized academic knowledge into public discourse.

By bridging the gap between clinical expertise and the general public, these alumni have played a crucial role in combating medical misinformation and fostering healthier lifestyle habits across digital and traditional media platforms.
