Representatives from 17 Countries Gather at UCAM for International Staff Week
Delegates from universities across Europe, Asia, and Africa visit the Campus to launch new projects and expand research and sports collaboration agreements
UCAM hosted 29 representatives from 17 different nations for the tenth edition of its International Staff Week. This milestone event brings together partner universities from Europe, Asia, and Africa with the primary goal of showcasing UCAM’s world-class facilities, sharing best practices in International Relations, and laying the groundwork for future joint projects in key areas such as research and sports.
Throughout the week, participants—including both faculty members and technical staff from International Relations offices—are engaging in strategic networking sessions designed to strengthen and expand existing global partnerships.

"This Staff Week aims to turn representatives from countries such as Indonesia, Georgia, Armenia, and several African nations into university ambassadors, after they experience firsthand our potential in European projects," highlighted Lonneke Meijer, a member of the UCAM Vice-Rectorate for International Relations.
A Mix of Academics and Culture
Beyond the meeting rooms, the program offers participants a deep dive into the cultural heritage of the Region of Murcia. The itinerary includes guided tours of historical monuments and landmarks in both Murcia and Cartagena, as well as an immersion into local gastronomy and a visit to the regional archaeological museum.
By fostering these personal and professional connections, UCAM continues to consolidate its position as a global hub for academic exchange and international cooperation.
