Pedro Acosta, at UCAM: ‘The limit is the sky; I hope to begin 2025 on the right foot’

The MotoGP rider and athlete of the Universidad Católica de Murcia has participated in the University Welcome, sharing experiences and reflections with the attendees and kicking off the Popular Mile.

The Los Jerónimos Campus of the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia has experienced on 28th of November, its second University Welcome Day, an event full of activities that foster community spirit among students, lecturers and staff. The University Mile, a race that symbolises the values of effort and self-improvement, was one of the highlights of the day, with the participation of a large number of members of our academic community.

Among those in attendance, Pedro Acosta, UCAM athlete and world motorcycling star, was the star of the day. Acosta, who currently competes in the MotoGP World Championship, took part in the recording of a podcast episode on the Campus, toured the information stands and kicked off the university race.

During his visit, Acosta highlighted the educational values of the institution: ‘UCAM is not only committed to sport, but also to accompanying students in their personal growth. That is something I really value.’

Regarding his experience in the MotoGP World Championship, the rider from Mazarrón reflected on the importance of learning from mistakes: ‘In the end, I think they are what make us great. This year I have learnt a lot and I hope to keep growing to fight for more.’ On his next objectives, Acosta shared his enthusiasm to continue growing and improving: ‘I always say that the sky is the limit. This coming year will be decisive, and I hope to get off to a good start in the February tests.’
