In the context of a Europe that has experienced 20 critical years, students of the UCAM Bachelor's Degree in Law attended a scientific seminar this week in the Courtroom of the Murcia Campus, where experts in the field discussed the current situation of the rule of law in the European Union. The event was also attended by professionals from Argentina, who analysed the situation in South America.

Jaime Sánchez-Vizcaíno, Dean of the Faculty of Law, opened the event alongside Pablo Blesa, UCAM Vice-Rector of International Relations, who stressed that ‘Europeans are experiencing a period of great political turbulence at the level of Member States,’ recalling that ‘we suffered a financial crisis in 2008, Brexit in 2016, inflation at the beginning of the 2020s, a very serious health crisis as a result of the pandemic, and then a war that we hope will now begin to come to an end’.  He also stated that this event allows us to ‘celebrate and remember the beginning of the integration process in 1950 and how we see the future of this project in this decade’.
