A beginning of the academic year marked by internationalisation
These days, the Los Jerónimos Campus has welcomed the representatives of the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia and of the University of Reading (England), and the students of the FOM University (Germany). Likewise, a delegation of the Faculty of Sports is in China maintaining contacts with various universities of the country and, at the end of the month, the UCAM will participate in the EAIE, one of the most important exhibitions of Europe, that this year will be held in Helsinki.
On the occasion of the beginning of the academic year, the UCAM is developing an intense international activity both by welcoming students and representatives from foreign universities and by sending the persons in charge of various degrees to other parts of the world. Among the visits that it has received are the delegations of the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia, in order to offer a joint Master's Degree in Marketing and Communication, and the delegation of the University of Reading (England), which has allowed to create closer ties so that both entities can establish collaboration agreements in the future.
The Los Jerónimos Campus has welcomed students of the FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management, who will receive training in communication and international marketing. Apart from attending the classes, the students will visit different places and companies of the Region such as the wine cellar Bodegas San Isidro (Jumilla). This reception of the students is included in the ‘Summer Conference’, a programme that celebrates its 9th edition.
Regarding the visits that the Catholic University of Murcia has carried out, Antonio Sánchez Pato, dean of the Faculty of Sport, and Alejandro Leiva, subdirector of the Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, are visiting various universities in China, within the framework of the ‘University and Sport’ model of the UCAM. This new presence of the University in China allows to establish a first contact with new universities, apart from strengthening existing relationships with others. It must be noted that the Government of the People’s Republic of China, through its Ministry of Education, recently included the UCAM in the list of universities recommended for studying abroad.
The UCAM will participate in the EAIE
From 24th to 27th September, the Catholic University of Murcia will be present in the European Association for International Education (EAIE), one of the most important exhibitions of Europe, that this year will be held in Helsinki. The participation of the UCAM in the EAIE will allow to meet universities from all over the world to establish joint programmes, short courses and exchange relations between universities, etc.
