UCAM: A University Without Borders
The Campus has officially welcomed a new cohort of international students joining for the second semester. This arrival further strengthens a global university community currently representing 135 different nationalities
A diverse array of languages, accents, and cultures converged at the Los Jerónimos Campus as UCAM once again demonstrated its strong international vocation. The university held a welcome ceremony for a group of 60 international students—part of the 200 newcomers joining the Murcia and Cartagena campuses this semester. these students hail from countries as diverse as South Korea, Turkey, Chile, Ireland, Brazil, Finland, Peru, Mexico, India, Colombia, Ecuador, and Costa Rica.
Pablo Blesa, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Communication, officially welcomed the students. He encouraged them to fully embrace this academic chapter through classroom learning, integration into campus life, and immersion in the local social and cultural scene. Their arrival comes just in time for two of Murcia’s most iconic celebrations: Holy Week (Semana Santa) and the Spring Festival (Fiestas de Primavera).
"Our ambition is to continue making our campuses a reflection of the world," Blesa emphasized.
This vision includes UCAM’s significant global footprint, with offices and campuses in over ten countries and growing activity in strategic hubs such as Dubai, India, and China.
Throughout the orientation day, the International Relations team organized various activities designed to foster connections among the students, facilitate mutual networking, and help them settle into their new university environment.
