UCAM tourism students learn about new developments in their field at FITUR

The Universidad Católica de Murcia (UCAM), which offers a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism and Tourism Business Management, as well as several postgraduate programmes, such as Innovation and Tourism Marketing and Hotel and Catering Business Management, in which there are students from 15 different countries, actively participates in FITUR, the International Tourism Trade Fair, every year. In terms of research, UCAM hosts the International Chair of Smart Tourism in the Region.
The UCAM students who attended the exhibition today had the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the field of global tourism. During their stay, they visited all 9 areas and attended presentations. Ginesa Martínez del Vas, Vice-Dean of the Bachelor's Degree, was with them and also participated in the meeting held by the Network of Chairs of Tourism, of which she is a member. Enrique Martínez, President of the Sociedad Estatal para la Gestión de la Innovación y las Tecnologías Turísticas (State Company for the Management of Innovation and Tourism Technologies, Segittur), and Carlos Romero, Director of Research, Development and Innovation, were also at the meeting. All these efforts will enrich the teaching and research areas of the UCAM in the field of tourism, both nationally and internationally.
