UCAM students from 25 countries participate in FITUR
The 'Spring Race of the Community of Madrid', sponsored by UCAM, was presented at the event, withits president, María Dolores García, in attendance
As every year, Madrid turned into the world epicentre of tourism this week with the celebration of FITUR, an event at which UCAM has had a prominent role. UCAM undergraduate and postgraduate studies in this field, with a clear international component, which was reflected in the group of 52 students from 25 nationalities who attended the fair, accompanied by their vice-dean, Ginesa Martínez del Vas.
During the visit, the students were welcomed by the University's president, María Dolores García, who also attended the presentation of the 'Spring Race of the Community of Madrid 2026', sponsored by UCAM, which will be held on 1 March as part of the Madrid Spring Festival.
Regarding FITUR, the UCAM president stressed the need to continue to support tourism training: ‘Going out into the world opens your mind and gives you an insight into humanity and the values of societies’.
UCAM offers a wide range of studies in tourism, marketing and business, integrating digital skills, destination management and orientation to the labour market, with special attention to the tourism ecosystem of the Region of Murcia and the opportunities offered by its new campus UCAM-COE in Madrid.
