EURIE 2026 brings together 2,000 higher education leaders from over 30 countries in Istanbul
Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM) has concluded its participation in EURIE – Eurasia Higher Education Summit 2026, held last week at the Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center in Istanbul, with very positive results. The international event, organised by EURAS (the Eurasian Universities Union) brought together 2,000 higher education leaders from more than 30 countries.
UCAM’s presence at this forum represented a strategic opportunity to strengthen its international positioning, further consolidate academic partnerships in areas such as mobility and exchange programmes as well as the development of double degree programmes, and expand collaboration in the field of research.
During the event, the UCAM delegation met with representatives from various Turkish institutions and university campuses in Istanbul. In addition, meetings were held with educational institutions from Central Asia, including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan, as well as from other countries such as Cyprus and Albania. The meeting with Mustafa Aydin, President of EURIE and Rector of Istanbul Aydin University, was also noteworthy, as it aimed to promote future projects.
