UCAM prepares a second humanitarian aid shipment
José Luis Mendoza, president of UCAM, is grateful for the solidarity of the academic community and numerous individuals, companies and institutions that are collaborating with the University Platform for Peace to help the victims of the war in Ukraine
The expedition of the University Platform for Peace of the UCAM arrives in Poland today. It will carry out a double task, delivering the humanitarian aid that has been collected in recent days and assisting Ukrainian refugees in need. The first ESP Solutions trailer, loaded with non-perishable food items, cleaning and hygiene products, nappies and clothes, is already on its way and will soon arrive at the University of Katovice. Said University will be in charge of distributing everything so that it can reach the refugee camps. Another shipment will be made next week as the donations continue.
José Luis Mendoza, president of UCAM, was satisfied with the response of students and employees to the appeal: "A huge trailer has been sent and we will continue to send aid as long as it is needed, but we hope that this cruel war will end as soon as possible".
Many companies and institutions have also offered their support to the platform in response to UCAM's initiative: "We are grateful for everyone's collaboration. It is also essential to work alongside the Spanish Olympic Committee and to have the commitment of the INCYDE Foundation to help refugees arriving in Murcia to find work through employment, entrepreneurship and language courses, as many of them do not know Spanish. We would also like to mention the work of ESP Solutions, the transport company that is taking all the humanitarian aid to Poland".
