UCAM Football Club continues to consolidate its global growth with the creation of the UCAM Lions, a new club based in Bensalem, Philadelphia. This pioneering project - the result of the collaboration between the Universidad Católica de Murcia (UCAM) and UCAM Murcia CF with Lions Football Club LLC - represents a historic step for the club, which is entering the football market in the United States, host country of the next World Cup 2026, for the first time.

UCAM has signed a sponsorship agreement to promote the creation and development of the UCAM Lions, a project that will be supervised and advised directly by the sports area of UCAM Murcia CF. On behalf of the club, Ángel Guerrero, coach of the Academy, travelled to Philadelphia to implement the methodology, work structure and values that define the UCAM model.

UCAM Lions starts its journey with two teams (U17 and U9), made up of over 30 players, who participate in a regular league, as well as in different tournaments in the United States. Its implementation represents a qualitative leap in the internationalisation of the university club, reinforcing the link between sport, education and values, essential cornerstones of the UCAM brand.

This project is part of the ambitious expansion plan of the international area of UCAM Murcia CF, which is experiencing an exceptional start to the season with the UCAM Murcia International Team in Segunda Autonómica (Second Regional Division), and continues to expand its presence in the most important international football conventions, such as Soccerex Miami, where the club will be present from 11 to 13 November 2025.
