UCAM, leading Spanish university in raising private research funds
The Ranking of the Fundación Conocimiento y Desarrollo (Knowledge and Development Foundation) ranks UCAM as the country's leading private university in this field, highlighting its links with the business sector and knowledge transfer. It is also the fifth of all Spanish universities in the management of work placements abroad.
The Universidad Católica de Murcia has stood out in the 2024 edition of the CYD Foundation Ranking (Knowledge and Development) for its excellent performance in several key indicators. The institution presided over by María Dolores García is positioned as the best private university in Spain in attracting private funds for research, demonstrating the trust that companies place in its capacity to develop R&D&I projects and transfer knowledge to the productive sector.
This achievement is complemented by UCAM's outstanding position as the second Spanish private university in terms of the number of patents obtained in collaboration with companies, reaffirming its strong links with the productive sector. This highlights the high reputation that UCAM has achieved among entrepreneurs as a strategic partner for innovation and technological development.
Furthermore, internationalisation continues to be key for UCAM, which is extremely well positioned in the academic offer in English, ranking second and third nationally in Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes, respectively. In addition, it is among the top five universities in Spain, both public and private, in the management of work placements abroad. This achievement reflects the university's dedication to providing its students with international experiences that enrich their training and improve their employability.
These results in the CYD Foundation 2024 Ranking reinforce UCAM as an institution committed to academic excellence, cutting-edge research and close collaboration with the business sector. Furthermore, they are in line with the five stars awarded by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) to UCAM for its educational model, achieving the highest score in the 'Teaching' category due to the high satisfaction level of its students.
