In collaboration with Dø Postproduction, this postgraduate course offers a specific qualification which is in high demand in the audio-visual production sector, both among the main production companies as well as the streaming platforms in the fields of fiction and advertising.
Isabel Sarabia, Vice Dean of Audiovisual Communication, Pablo Blesa, dean of the Faculty of Communication, and Samuel Mendoza, director of Infrastructures and Digital Development, presented this postgraduate course.

The Master's Degree in VFX Composition (visual effects) has become a reality at UCAM, which is teaching its first edition in collaboration with Dø Postproduction. This regional company, which is a renowned visual effects company of international prestige, has worked on audio-visual productions such as La Casa de Papel, Toy Boy and Campeones. Among the teaching staff of this postgraduate course are active professionals from different post-production studios who, in most cases, not only work for Spanish companies, but also for international studios, having participated in projects such as Game of Thrones or The Mandalorian.

The Master's Degree is aimed at a diverse profile of students. On the one hand, it is offered to university graduates in Audio-visual Communication, Advertising, Computer Science, Telecommunications, and on the other, to graduates in Higher Vocational Training in the areas of Image and Sound, Computer Science and Communications or Graphic Arts. The syllabus, designed by Alejandro Rius (CEO of Dø Postproduction) and his team, with the academic support of UCAM, also includes an internship period in national companies such as User T38 or Free Your Mind, among others.

This training, coordinated by the UCAM's Audio-visual Communication Degree, is taught in the University's Postproduction Studio, a facility developed specifically for this degree. In this way, students will have the opportunity to learn the dynamics, routines, and workflows of any post-production centre in a genuine professional environment, which will enable them to immediately join a work team in any company in this field.

Samuel Mendoza, Director of Infrastructures and Information Technology at UCAM, spoke at the presentation of the degree, stressing that "it is an honour for us to promote degrees such as this master's degree, an initiative that represents a firm commitment to the adoption and training in new technologies applied to the fields of film, television and advertising. Therefore, this training is fully in line with the Digital Transformation Plan being implemented by this institution".

Meanwhile, Pablo Blesa, Dean of the Faculty of Communication, highlighted UCAM's commitment to continue innovating and training the new professional profiles of the audio-visual industry demanded by both the national as well as the international market, while the institution continuous celebrating its 25th anniversary.
