UCAM broadens its strategic alliance with the German university FOM
A delegation from the Universidad Católica de Murcia travelled to Germany to attend a meeting with officials from the University of Applied Sciences Fachhochschule für Oekonomie & Management (FOM) with the aim of consolidating the relationship between the two institutions, thanks to which mobility, doctoral and internship programmes are being developed. Furthermore, as a result of this collaboration, the International Business Certificate is taught on the campus of the Universidad Católica.
Among the new developments brought about by the meeting, the two institutions are currently involved in the joint implementation of the International MBA, as well as in consolidating the international doctoral programme, which includes the co-direction of doctoral theses by German executives, which has been in place since 2010.
In addition, the FOM has incorporated Pablo Blesa, vice-rector of International Relations and dean of the Faculty of Communication of the Universidad Católica de Murcia, and Gonzalo Wandosell, dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, into its scientific committee. Both received this appointment during a visit to one of the campuses of the German institution together with the director of Institutional Relations of UCAM, José Luis Mendoza García.
This strategic consultancy body is made up of international academic experts and researchers external to the FOM who assist in the development of FOM's strategic approaches in these areas.
The FOM is the fifth largest university in Germany, with 50,000 students and 40 campuses in the country, where it educates business profiles such as middle management and company executives.
