UCAM boosts its internationalisation with short courses that attract students from all over the world
Students from countries such as Germany, Mexico, France, Italy and China choose UCAM for their training in specialised programmes during September
The Universidad Católica de Murcia (UCAM) further strengthens its position as a benchmark in academic internationalisation. A good example of this is its short-term programmes, which attract students from all over the world during the month of September. This year, more than a hundred of them from countries such as Germany, Mexico, France, Italy and China have chosen UCAM to broaden their knowledge in key areas such as business leadership, sports management, entrepreneurship and health sciences.
One of the most noteworthy is the Summer Programme, which is an intensive Spanish course that has brought together 52 students from France and Italy, many of whom will commence their degrees in health areas such as veterinary medicine, dentistry and physiotherapy. This course allows them to not only improve their language skills, but to also get to know the Spanish culture and adapt to the academic environment at UCAM.
In addition, the FOM (Germany) has once again entrusted UCAM with their training. This was done within the framework of the Summer Conference, a programme directed by Pablo Blesa, Vice-Rector of International Relations and Communication, and Juan Antonio Marín, professor of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication. It focuses on the development of leadership skills in the contemporary business environment, with 26 German students participating.
On the other hand, 26 students from Irapuato, Mexico have come to UCAM to participate in the programme of Leadership and Entrepreneurship. This four-week training will provide them with tools in areas such as financing, innovation and corporate responsibility.
UCAM will also be hosting a group of 12 students and football players from Shandong, China, who will undertake a three-month Study Abroad programme that focuses on sports management in football. This course, which combines theory and practice on the pitch, is organised by the UCAM Research Centre for High Performance Sport and the UCAM Sports Spanish University, together with the university's Football Club.
UCAM confirms its commitment to internationalisation as a strategic cornerstone, offering a unique academic and cultural training experience in the Region of Murcia to international students. These programmes not only reinforce the global profile of the university, but also contribute to the exchange of knowledge and experience between different cultures.
