UCAM and 'Planeta Formación y Universidades' join forces to teach their specific degrees for professionals in the field of health and business
This collaboration agreement will allow the University to collaborate with CEAC and Deusto Salud, training centres from the Grupo Planeta training division.
UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia and the international network of educational institutions ‘Planeta Formación y Universidades’ have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of teaching their own specific degrees to improve the quality of teaching and the employability of students at CEAC, (distance vocational and technical training centre) and Deusto Salud (continuous distance training centre specialising in health and welfare).
Segundo Píriz Durán, Academic and International Director of 'Planeta Formación y Universidades', stated that "establishing this agreement is essential because UCAM is a prestigious university that will provide greater support to our students and will also collaborate with our CEAC and Deusto Salud vocational and continuous training centres".
Píriz Durán also argued that “deep down, when you reach higher education, you look for a preparation that will allow you to find a job and live off the knowledge you have acquired throughout your life, hence the importance of the contact between ‘Planeta Formación y Universidades’ and companies and training centres".
On behalf of UCAM, Manuel Carlos Ruiz González, vice-chancellor of Quality and Academic Organisation, explained that “‘Planeta Formación y Universidades’ took into account our University and that makes us happy because of its quality and experience in its university-specific degrees. That is why we are going to develop a series of degrees that will have the quality standards that UCAM has and which are oriented towards the professional world that connects training with business".
