UCAM and Altamayyuz Academy of Saudi Arabia sign a Sports Management Training agreement
The agreement, signed at the Los Jerónimos Campus, includes the launch of an Executive MBA in Sports Management Degree.
María Dolores García, UCAM President, and Abdulaziz Al-Ghamdi, CEO of Altamayyuz Academy, an educative institution in Saudi Arabia, have reached a framework agreement that will allow for a joint development of educative programmes, among which an MBA Executive in Sports Management will be launched. The signing ceremony was attended by Yazeed Alshaya, head of business development of the Saudi institution, and UCAM representatives, such as José Luis Mendoza García, General Director of Institutional Relations.
During their visit to the Los Jerónimos Campus, the Saudi delegation to part in various meetings with academic officials and UCAM internationalisation managers, aiming to design and plan the future Master’s Degree.
Enrique López from the UCAM Strategic Alliances Unit stated: ‘Through this agreement, we strengthen our position in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia is a strategic area for us, especially taking into account significant sports events that will be hosted there in the near future, such as FIFA World Cup and Winter Olympics’. On the other hand, Abdulaziz Al-Ghamdi praised UCAM for being ‘an institution that has valued sports from the very beginning’. ‘We are very glad to have signed this agreement, which will allow us to undertake many collaborative actions on behalf of our entity and our country,’ he added.
The agreement between the institutions is an essential step in the international expansion of UCAM’s educational offer, especially in the field of sports, in which UCAM already excels globally. The Executive MBA in Sports Management aims to train professionals with a global approach, embracing academic expertise as well as practical experience in sport entities management.
