The Bachelor’s Degree in Translation and Interpreting of UCAM answers to the need to include in society professionals able to face and resolve the challenges posed by the convergence of various languages. This degree makes available to the students an updated Curriculum that assures “a high-quality and very competitive training, which guarantees students the effective practice of the profession of translator-interpreter in major European languages”, points out Thomas Schmidt, vice-dean of the Bachelor’s

The students study instrumental linguistic subjects in the two main work languages (English and Spanish) and they have the opportunity to choose the optional subjects among the other major European languages: German, French and Italian. Furthermore, they complete their training with subjects such as Culture, Translation Studies, General and Specialised Translation and Interpreting, finishing their studies with an internship module that brings the students closer to professional reality.

The graduates in this degree highlight the full linguistic immersion that they receive

since the first year, and the fact of being in class with students from more than 15 different countries. Likewise, its students count on a wide range of options for their training abroad thanks to the numerous mobility programmes.
