Sergio Garrote has won the gold medal at the Paralympic Games in Paris in the H2 time trial cycling event. The UCAM athlete returns to the top step of the podium, something he already did in Tokyo 2020, where he also won the gold medal in this modality.

With a time of 24:33.71, the Spaniard had an impressive race, dominating the different sections of the race. Halfway through the race, the gold medal was already in sight, a medal that he finally won after a huge effort.

Thus, the second gold medal with the UCAM stamp has arrived. The swimmer Íñigo Llopis climbed to the top step of the podium in the 100m backstroke. The Basque athlete also won bronze in the 4x100 medley relay, together with Nahia ZudaireJosé Antonio Marí and Sarai Gascón. In addition to all these medals, we must add the Paralympic diplomas of swimmer Jacobo Garrido, the one of Nahia Zudaire and the one of sprinter Adi Iglesias.
