The HiTech CEO Academy closes its second edition by awarding INTECC's innovation with 6000 euros
The initiative, organised by UCAM HiTech with the support of Santander Universities, has trained the CEOs of 30 scientific and technological start-ups in key areas such as investment, leadership and communication, establishing itself as a national benchmark programme for start-ups.
The second edition of HiTech CEO Academy, the benchmark training programme for leaders of scientific and technological start-ups, has come to an end after six intense weeks of learning, mentoring and collaboration. Organised by UCAM HiTech, the business innovation and acceleration hub of the Universidad Católica de Murcia (UCAM) integrated into the Fundación Incyde Network of High Technology Incubators, in collaboration with Santander Universities, concluded with the eagerly awaited pitch competition, where the start-up INTECC won the €6000 prize.
Health innovation
The programme concluded with a round table discussion at UCAM HiTech, moderated by Chema Nieto, CEO of Socialnius. The session featured Isabel Portero, CEO and Founder of BIOHOPE, and Ángela Pérez Pérez, Director of BioHub VL. The students had the opportunity to interact directly with them, asking questions and receiving valuable answers based on the mentors' experience.
The most eagerly awaited moment was the pitch competition, where the CEOs presented their projects to a jury made up of the aforementioned mentors and Carolina Pola, an expert in Tech Transfer, Biotech Investment and Business Angel at WA4STEAM.
The winner of the 6000 euros prize was Julián Aguilera Campillos, CEO of INTECC, a start-up that has developed the Raquis app, the first application based on scientific evidence that allows an assessment of the spine using a smartphone and obtaining a complete diagnosis with personalised clinical guidelines. Back pain is the main cause of physical disability worldwide, hence the significance of this application.
