The programmes offered by UCAM in the health field include Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Occupational Therapy, which give their name to the faculty that brings them together. Classes are taught in small groups, with academic and personal tutoring, and there is a strong commitment to applied research, with syllabuses adapted to the demands of the sector and training in values based on Christian humanism. In addition, the programme stands out for the high number of practical hours that students complete both at the UCAM facilities and at public and private centres with which the institution has agreements, ensuring training that is closely linked to the world of work.

Comprehensive physiotherapy

The UCAM Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy is characterised by its eminently practical training, with more than 60% of the credits devoted to this. The University has eight rooms with all the necessary facilities for student training, who have access to all kinds of equipment and materials to acquire skills in the care and treatment of any pathological or traumatic, orthopaedic, sports, neurological, respiratory or cardiovascular condition or injury in adults and children, as well as during pregnancy and the ageing process.

Students complete around 1,000 hours of clinical practice in centres with which the institution has agreements, including hospitals and public health centres, private clinics, associations for people with physical or intellectual disabilities, early care centres and sports clubs. This programme is renowned for the presence of international students.

UCAM Podiatry

UCAM is one of the few private universities where students can pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Podiatry. The institution has more than 2,000 agreements with companies and research centres to provide students with professional internships, ensuring that their training is closely linked to the real world of work. Students begin their learning and integration into podiatric practice at UCAM University Podiatry Service. They undertake internal work experience from the first year, some of it with professional athletes.

UCAM students have access to the latest diagnostic and treatment technologies, enabling them to learn the fundamentals of the profession while also gaining access to the latest advances available on the market. In addition, once they have completed their degree, they can continue their training at the Murcia Campus with a Master's Degree in Foot Surgery for Podiatrists or Continuing Education in Clinical and Sports Podiatry

Podiatry professionals are already included in the portfolio of services offered by several autonomous communities, so graduates can find new job opportunities in the public health sector.

Rehabilitation Unit

UCAM is a pioneer in the region in offering a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy, based on the need to care for and support people with functional diversity. On the Murcia Campus, students of the programme have access to a comprehensive Rehabilitation Unit that simulates real-life care situations, an adapted house and facilities to work on sensory integration. In addition, students complete more than 1,000 hours of external work experience. The teaching staff is clearly multidisciplinary and includes occupational therapists, psychologists, doctors, nurses and physiotherapists with extensive professional and scientific training and experience.

The programme, which is part of the Faculty of Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Occupational Therapy, offers a wide range of career opportunities in both the private and public sectors, in hospitals, clinics, day centres, nursing homes, mutual insurance companies and early intervention centres.

UCAM has opened the pre-enrolment period for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the 2025-2026 academic year at its campuses in Murcia and Cartagena, and online.
