FOM students boost Leadership, AI, and Communication Skills during international Summer Conference at UCAM Spain
Thirty-four FOM master’s students and professionals complete an intensive two-week executive training program combining professional development with cultural immersion in Murcia
A cohort of 34 FOM University students has successfully completed an intensive two-week international Summer Conference hosted at Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM) in Spain. Coordinated in collaboration with Eduprojects, the program culminated in a formal diploma presentation ceremony at the Television Studio of UCAM’s Faculty of Communication.
Designed primarily for master’s degree students and working business professionals, the multidisciplinary program focused on building high-demand executive competencies, including leadership, public speaking, negotiation, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship. The curriculum aimed to equip participants with modern, actionable tools to advance their professional careers.
Highlighting the success of the initiative, Prof. Dr. José Manuel Noguera, PhD Coordinator in Social Sciences at UCAM and lecturer in the program, noted "It has been an intensive, multidisciplinary training program that offered tremendous value to the participants, both academically and personally".
Practical Skills for Career Advancement
The international experience received enthusiastic feedback from participants. FOM student Nadia Alarcón, a banking professional in Germany, emphasized the immediate real-world applicability of the coursework "We learned an incredible amount, and the topics covered were extremely engaging", said Alarcón, giving special praise to the public speaking module that helped students deliver executive presentations "with greater confidence and poise," as well as the practical insights into practical AI integration.
For Alarcón, the training directly supports her current career trajectory in the banking sector as she steps into expanded leadership responsibilities that require high-level presentation and stakeholder communication skills.
In addition to academic and professional development, the program offered students a rich cultural experience across the Region of Murcia and the Costa Blanca."We thoroughly enjoyed our excursions to Alicante, Cartagena, and Murcia—which is a truly beautiful city" Alarcón added.
Strengthening International Academic Cooperation
This Summer Conference further consolidates the longstanding partnership between FOM University and UCAM. Over the years, numerous FOM students have spent time at UCAM’s historic Los Jerónimos Campus to complete coursework, experience the Spanish university system, and gain invaluable intercultural competence. This ongoing cooperation reflects both institutions' shared dedication to internationalization and practical, high-impact higher education.
