The CYD Ranking places UCAM as the third best university in Spain to study Civil Engineering
In addition, UCAM stands out in the field of internationalisation and is the first private university in Spain in terms of raising external funds for research. It also receives the highest score in the Region for its Contribution to Regional Development.
The CYD Ranking of the Knowledge and Development Foundation, which is the main Spanish university ranking, has published its 2025 results, in which UCAM has once again stood out in several areas. Its Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is the third best rated of all Spanish universities, both public and private, only behind the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the Polytechnic University of Cantabria. In this regard, it should be noted that UCAM Civil Engineering graduates have a 100% job placement rate.
This ranking measures indicators such as teaching, research, knowledge transfer, internationalisation and contribution to regional development. Specifically in research, one of the pillars of UCAM, it also obtains good results, especially in the area of external fundraising, where it is the first private university in Spain.
University-business
The transfer of knowledge from the university to the business world is another area in which UCAM stands out thanks to initiatives such as its high-tech incubator in health, sport and food, UCAM HiTech, and the pioneering start-up of the industrial doctorate programme. In this area, UCAM ranks as the second private university in Spain in terms of the number of patents with companies, with an increase of five new patents in the last year.
UCAM is also the leading university in the region in terms of its contribution to regional development.
Internationalisation
In the international area, CYD highlights UCAM as the first university in the Region of Murcia and the third private university in Spain, in undergraduate degrees in English. The international orientation is also evidenced by a 27% increase in the number of doctoral theses defended by foreign students and a 17% increase in the number of international teaching staff. In addition, it is ranked fifth in the country in the management of internships abroad.
