UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia carries out, from today until Friday, the second edition of ‘UCAM Refresh Week’, with the goal of showing and enhancing the artistic and cultural heritage of the Region of Murcia. The Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication together with the Bachelor’s Degree in Dance, and managed by the UCAM International Project Office (OPRI), are in charge of organising these events that will last the entire week. This is a multicultural event within the Refresh project, co-financed by the European Commission and framed in the Creative Europe category.
Estrella Núñez, vice-chancellor for research, stated during the inauguration of this event that “the University is delighted with the fact that this type of projects are developed and that our students perceive that art and science go hand in hand”. In this way, the vice-chancellor considers that UCAM will give its contribution to the world of art and science “if our monastery and the art that exists in our autonomous community can serve as inspiration for new artists from other countries”.

Today, Monday, at UCAM, the festival ‘UCAM REFRESH WEEK’ was inaugurated with an artistic collective exhibition, organised by young local artists. Moreover, at 6 p.m., at the film archive of Murcia, the presentation entitled “The relationship between cinema and history”, developed by Manuel González-Sicilia, teacher of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication of UCAM, will take place.
